In the practice of mindfulness, we refer to the bloom of the present moment. The suggestion is that you only have moments to live and your given them one at a time. In every moment that you are alive, mindfulness helps us to be in the moment even if it is not to our liking.
During the day, try to detect the bloom of the present moment. This can happen at any time regardless of what you are doing. This could include good moments during the day and moments when you find it more difficult. Cultivate an attitude of acceptance for whatever is happening. If you find yourself judging what is happening including self judgments, try to suspend these activities of your mind.
Let your day unfold and bring an attitude of curious observer. Notice when you want things to be different and let go of this desire and see if you can slip into a feeling of balance and contentment, even when it is not to your liking.
